Prof. H. Arimoto is actively involved at the interface between synthetic organic chemistry, natural products chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and molecular and cell biology. His particularly interests include: total synthesis of bioactive natural products, design and synthesis of glycopeptides with antibacterial activity against vancomycin-resisitant bacteria (VRE, VRSA), paralytic substances in venom of spider wasps,synthesis and biological functions of nitroguanosin derivatives.
