The National Center for Pharmaceutical Screening of the Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was established in 1998 according to the science and technology project of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The center was also recognized as the Beijing Key Laboratory of Drug Target Research and Drug Screen in 2011. There are 22 scientists and technicians. More than 150 doctoral students and master’s students have been trained since it’s established.
Main research interests:
1) Development of new drugs for major human diseases.
2) Discovery of lead compounds, candidate drugs.
3) Development of new drugs with independent IPR that prevent major diseases.
4) Technical support for China’s innovative drug research.
