The Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis is among the earliest established departments in IMM. On its original basis, the National Research Center for Analysis of Drugs and Metabolites was founded in 1994. Currently, there are 23 researchers in the department and more than 60% of them are professors or associate professors. The discipline of pharmaceutical analysis has been recognized by the Ministry of Education as the National University Medical Key Discipline. A postdoctoral program has been established in our department. There are four Ph.D. supervisors and five M.Sc. supervisors at present.
Main research interests:
1) Mass spectrometry analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance analysis and chromatography coupled with spectrometry for in vitro and in vivo drug metabolism analysis, drug quality analysis, etc .
2) Research on new techniques and new methods for analysis of drugs and metabolites, quality control and standard formulation of new drug, as well as metabolomics, pharmaco-metabonomics, proteomics, activity-based protein profiling technique to discover drug targets and biomarkers.
