Research Interests
The research group led by Wang Yuehua is dedicated to:
Cerebrovascular pharmacology/neuropharmacology
Modernization of traditional Chinese medicine
Evaluation of drug candidates for marine microorganisms
Research areas of the group:
1. Cerebrovascular pharmacology/Neuropharmacology: drug target identification, screening model establishment, drug screening, new drug evaluation and mechanism research of diseases related to stroke, traumatic brain injury and cerebellar injury. It is involved in neuroinflammation, neurogenesis, brain mitochondrial function, blood-brain barrier, oxidative stress, protein non enzymatic glycosylation modification and other mechanisms.
2. Research on modernization of traditional Chinese medicine: network pharmacology, bioinformatics, modern extraction and separation technology of traditional Chinese medicine, high-throughput screening technology and pharmacological activity evaluation technology are combined to systematically study the material basis and pharmacological activity of traditional Chinese medicine compound, interpret the scientific connotation of traditional Chinese medicine compound, and carry out the secondary development of traditional Chinese medicine compound.
3. Evaluation of drug candidates for marine microorganisms: establishment of a systematic evaluation system for drug efficacy, pharmacokinetics, early pharmacokinetics, and preliminary dosage forms, and development of new marine microbial drugs with independent intellectual property rights.
