Research Interests
The research group headed by Ma Chen focuses on:
1. Studying quality control and standard formulation of new drug substances and products
Designing control strategy for the drug substances and drug products to determine the product quality and consistency and to ensure the safety and efficacy of the drug substances and drug products.
2. Developing advanced analysis methods for drugs and metabolites
Exploiting new techniques and new methods to study the structures and properties of candidates, drugs and their metabolites and to evaluate their characterization.
3. Exploring the analysis and evaluation of traditional Chinese medicines
Based on chromatograph-mass spectrometry techniques, the group explores new analysis methods for multicomponent of traditional Chinese medicines and seeks to evaluate traditional Chinese medicines.
