The International Symposium on Key Technologies and Standards of Pharmacodynamic Evaluation on Cardiovascular, Neurodegenerative Diseases and Diabetes Complications was successfully held in Beijing from October 9 to 11, 2015. This symposium was sponsored by Institute of Materia Medica and co-organized by the State Key Laboratory of Bioactive Substance and Function of Natural Medicines and Beijing Key Laboratory of New Drug Mechanisms and Pharmacological Evaluation Study. The chairman of the symposium was Prof. Wang Xiaoliang who is from Institute of Materia Medica. Over 200 experts and researchers attended the symposium.
Prof. Sang Guowei, the Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Zhan Qimin, the Associate Dean of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Prof. Jiang Jiandong, the Director of Institute of Materia Medica, gave the speeches at the opening ceremony.
More than 20 well-known American and Chinese scientists were invited to give special lectures in the symposium. They reported new achievements on pharmacodynamics evaluation and clinical research,and were looking farther forward tothe development and future of medicine. Attendees were greatly interested and had a warm discussion. This symposium established a platform for international exchanges, promoted the cooperation and dialogue among China and other countries or regions in the world.
