Research Interests
Research interests of the Zhang Dongming's group are as follows:
(1) Discovery of active ingredients in Chinese herbal medicine: the group has deeply studied the active ingredients of more than 20 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines such as Clausena lansium (Lour.) Skeels, Tripterygium wilfordii Hook.f., Magnolia officinalis through the construction of new technology for rapid identification and acquisition of active ingredients, and found more than 500 new compounds, which provides a material basis for further study of their efficacy and mechanism of action.
(2) New drug development: through in-depth study of active substances, they have found three candidate drugs for the treatment of chronic kidney disease, anti-cerebral ischemia and Alzheimer's disease.
