Research Interests
1. Research and development of innovative drugs
Design and synthesis of structural analogs of bioactive natural products in order to develop innovative drugs with independent intellectual property rights.
2. Total synthesis of bioactive natural products
Establishment of efficient total synthetic methods of natural products with the aim of solving the source of natural products, and laying the foundation for structural modification. Total synthesis of a number of natural products has been accomplished, including (-)-renieramycin G, (-)-saframycin A, (-)-jorumycin, ceratamine A, (±)-parthenolide and griseofamines.
3. Organic synthetic methodology
Development of efficient organic synthetic methods, including construction of common frameworks of pharmaceutical chemistry based on aryne chemistry; use of small organic molecules to achieve asymmetric catalysis of common organic reactions, etc .
