Research Interests
The main research interests of the Zhu Qing group include induction of immune reactions and design of new vaccines, efficient delivery strategy for vaccines and drugs, molecular mechanisms involved in cell differentiation and effector function, approach to cell regeneration potential and repairing damaged tissues. A variety of cell models for novel drug screening have been used to study drug effects on target cells and their biological characteristics, local microenvironments, gene regulation and differentiation, and further exploration in disease development as well as any changes that may keep cell healthy or lead to cell abnormality. New and improved cell- and vaccine-based interventions have been proposed for the prevention and control of chronic diseases, autoimmune diseases, tissue degeneration and damage, and infections. The group’s research areas cover cell biology, vaccine immunology, drug delivery system, cell activation and migration, T cell memory, high-efficiency cytotoxicity, and new vaccine carriers and adjuvants.
