Research Interests
The research group headed by Zhu Ping is dedicated to microbial engineering and synthetic biology of natural medicines. Currently they are academically interested in the following aspects: 1) Biosynthetic gene mining and catalytic enzyme characterization of natural medicines, elucidation and reconstruction of biosynthetic pathway in microbial system. 2) Discovery, production and new drug R&D of active compounds produced by medicinal fungi and endosymblonts/endophytes of animal or plant.
